Theraplex
The people behind the Theraplex line of skin treatments believe that they have the solution to just about any skin condition you might have. Theraplex, dubbed “The Medical Moisturizer” claims that they have the right ingredients to help your skin look and feel healthier.
If you suffer from dry skin, eczema or if you’re just looking to improve the appearance of those pesky fine lines and wrinkles, Theraplex wants you to use their products. Let’s take a closer look to see if it is worth your time and money.
History of Theraplex
Back in 1990, Dr. H.R. Seuss developed a process that removed 80% of the greasy oils found in petrolatum, thus ensuring that his enriched special petrolatum fraction (ESPF) became a more desirable skin care product. Dr. Seuss (the scientist, not the writer) and Dr. Eugene Gans then combined ESPF with a hydrosilicone delivery system to create the Theraplex line, which claims it can infiltrate deeper and offer more relief and protection for your skin.
Theraplex Products
Today, the Theraplex line includes 5 different formulas, all of which contain their patented hydrosilicone delivery system and ESPF. ClearLotion is their all around moisturizer, specifically designed to be used after bathing, while Ultra is designed to treat severe dry skin anywhere on the body (including the chapped lips.)
FT is their product designed to help treat rough or scaly skin, particularly callused feet, while Emollient is used for dry skin and eczema, which is a skin condition that causes rashes which ooze, bleed or itch. Emollient Combo also treats several problematic skin conditions but also offers significant moisturizing benefits.
Other Things You Should Know about Theraplex
Online reviews about Theraplex have been mostly positive, most likely because these products have been developed by doctors and they cater to specific needs different people may have. Theraplex offers a non-greasy formula that Dr. Seuss developed over a period of several years, and many people have expressed confidence in the science behind this line of products.
Another good thing about these products is that they are shipped for free anywhere in the U.S., and the prices range from $16 to $60. A drawback is that there is no “guarantee” for this product; once you buy it, you can’t return it unless the product seal remains unbroken.
Conclusion
While we are impressed with all that Theraplex offers, a lack of a guarantee or a free-trial makes it difficult to judge if the makers of this line of product are truly confident in their creation. If you find yourself suffering from the various skin conditions that Theraplex is able to treat and you have some extra cash, you might want to try it like many others have. Just realize that once you open that bottle, you can’t return it.
