Scarring
The general rule of thumb is to protect the scar from the sun for the
first year so that later it will tan and fade with the rest of the skin.
In time, scars will fade. Cuts can be dried up rather quickly with zinc
oxide ointment (and it acts like a sunscreen, too).
Regarding bleeding, I learned
many years ago from the emergency room that hydrogen peroxide (about .50
a bottle in the grocery store) very easily gets blood out of material.
It has never changed the color of the fabric in all the years I've used
it on clothing, sheets, blankets and carpeting.
But, I
guess the first thing we should think about is why the scarring ... thin skin
that tears easily from the use of external steroids and scratching ... I got
over it, and I sure think that you can, too.
